The "Joys" Of Riding In Cars With Avid Readers

We now interrupt our regularly scheduled joyful time in the car to join this conversation already in progress.....

12 year old son : Apparently I am not allowed to ask a simple question.

15 year old daughter: Tell me the exact words where I said, "You cannot ask me a simple question"

12 year old son: Your tone of voice implied that you were not going to answer me and I simply want to satisfy my curiosity.

We will now return to our regularly scheduled programming. Have a nice day.

Did you know that by cleaning out the lint trap and the exhaust hose in your dryer you can reduce the risk of fire in your home and lower your energy bill? GO!!

WHY?

Why are your children so IMPOSSIBLY, DISTURBINGLY, DELIGHTFULLY, AMAZINGLY intelligent, yet can not discern that your tone of voice implies that bickering makes mommy want to pinch their little heads off?

I can't really hear your voice way out here, but I can imagine.

too early to clean the lint trap here, but it's now on my todo list when the sun comes up.

lint trap gets cleaned with every load -- childhood fear was house fire so we take all (neurotic) precautions

the children sound very normal to me! (what is that saying?...)

I am sure you could not help, but smile when then conversation was going on.

I always clean the lint trap, but never thought about the hose. Should I take it apart and clean it out?

Have a great Saturday! :o)

And...I can't clean out my lint hose till I finish my makeup drawer. (hangs head in shame that she hasn't gotten her act togetehr).
