One Last Passing In 2008

It is with sadness (and a good deal of Christ's hope) that I announce the passing of my youth (my husband was already old).

In about 10 days our 17 year-old estranged daughter will be giving us the early gift of Grandparenthood.

The good news is - my husband is going to make one hot Grandpa!

It is my sincere prayer that we will be allowed to hold this precious little hand.

More than that, I ask that you pray with us that our Daughter would come to know Christ and choose a saving relationship with Him.

I'm in. You can count on the prayers. I'm still trying to weed through the somewhat-twisted humor to get to the real message. But I'm in.

Happy and blessed 2009!

you know I'm prayin'...

and wondering when it's cool to call you grammy and mock you 'cause you are gonna be a grandma FIRST!

oh, yes, and some kind and sensitive love for the really hard, shocking news and the hope for her to find some true peace in Him

Wow, I know how your heart is burdened. Our home was a home for unwed teen moms as I grew up and so I "know" in a different aspect what you're going through. I also know the power of miracles in these situations as well. Praying fervently here in NC.

Babies tend to soften their mothers...I'll pray that is so. Sending hugs and tears, both happy and sad for you...but grateful.
